NIO (NYSE: NIO) has announced on the eve of the Shanghai auto show what it will share at the event, showing what you can expect.

The most important of these are undoubtedly the new ES6 and the ET7, and they are important for NIO's future sales growth.

Here are 9 highlights that NIO announced late last night that it will share at the Shanghai auto show.

New models

The new ES6 with Banyan intelligent system will debut, and the 2023 ET7 will be officially unveiled.

New technology experience

At the NIO Innovations area, visitors can experience the 3D Dolby panoramic sound of The Wandering Earth 2 in the Pano Cinema digital cockpit, but also experience the Aquila super-sensing system in real-time.

Supercar EP9

The electric supercar EP9 has set the fastest lap times at several of the world's top tracks with its extreme performance.

Three record-breaking EP9s will be on display at the show.

New battery swap experience

NIO's third-generation battery swap station will be present at the show floor and demonstrate the full battery swap process.

The full range of NIO charging products, including the 500 kW ultra-fast charger, and the NIO Power Cloud, will also be on display.

New Seeds talk

From April 22-23, Seeds, NIO's knowledge-sharing platform, will have a new sharing session at the booth.

Tim Pan, ET7 owner and founder of Media Storm, will be the initiator of the conversation with 4 guests.

New products from NIO Life

NIO Life will launch four new product lines, including the first furniture line under Blue Sky Lab.

Creation by NIO users

On the second floor of the NIO booth, over 20 pieces of photography, sound, and art pieces created by NIO users will be on display.

Over 300 vehicle owner volunteers from more than 30 cities will help answer visitors' questions and help more people learn about NIO.

Owner Benefit Partners will provide exclusive benefit vouchers for meals and excursions in Shanghai.

New mystery box benefits

NIO has prepared mystery boxes on-site where visitors can scan the QR code on the booth for a chance to win a gift.

These gifts include vehicle use vouchers worth up to about RMB 8,000, 1,888 NIO points, and auto show limited drink vouchers.

The Shanghai auto show will be held from April 18 - 27, with media days from April 18 - 19, professional visitor days from April 20 - 21, and general public admission from April 22 - 27.

The show will be held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, and NIO's booth is 6A01 in Hall 6.1, where it will have a press event on April 18 starting at 10:00.

Pictures obtained by CnEVPost show that NIO's pavilion is almost ready.

William Li, founder, chairman and CEO of NIO, and Qin Lihong, co-founder and president of the company, will be available for face-to-face interviews with the media, including CnEVPost, later today.

NIO ES7 wait time gets longer

The expected delivery date for the NIO ES7 is now 3-5 weeks, up from about 2 weeks previously, information from the NIO App monitored by CnEVPost shows.  |  NIO US | NIO HK | NIO SG

The ES7 SUV, one of two major models currently being delivered by NIO (NYSE: NIO), has seen a longer wait in China.

The expected delivery date for the NIO ES7 is now 3-5 weeks, up from about 2 weeks previously, information from the NIO App monitored by CnEVPost shows.

The last change in the SUV's wait time information was on April 10, when it was shortened from about 3 weeks to about 2 weeks.

Waiting time information for all other NIO models remains unchanged today.

The NIO App is currently showing 8 models, including the ES8, ES6 and EC6 based on the NT 1.0 platform, and the new ES8, ES7, EC7, ET7 and ET5 based on the NT 2.0 platform.

Among these models, only ES7 and ET5 are the ones NIO is mainly delivering. Its NT 1.0 platform models are being phased out, and deliveries of the EC7 and the new ES8 will start in May and June this year respectively, with the new ES6 and ET7 facelift to be unveiled tomorrow.

On April 14, the NIO App stopped showing wait times for the ES6 SUV, even though the NT 1.0 model had stopped receiving custom orders months ago.

The full range of NIO models with Banyan intelligent system will be presented on April 18, the new ES6 will debut and the 2023 ET7 will be officially unveiled, NIO said on April 11.

The upcoming biennial Shanghai auto show will be held from April 18 - 27, with April 18 - 19 being the media days, April 20 - 21 being the professional visitors' days, and the general public being admitted from April 22 - 27.

The show will be held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai and NIO's booth is 6A01in Hall 6.1, where it will hold a launch event on April 18 starting at 10:00.
