NIO's F4 plant for its sub-brand codenamed Firefly will be located in Chuzhou, Anhui province, while the F3 plant for the ALPS project will remain in Hefei, a source said.
Deliveries of vehicles under NIO's sub-brand codenamed ALPS are expected to begin in 2024, and deliveries of the company's first phone model are expected to begin in the third quarter of this year.
The two models, similar to the Volkswagen Golf and Nissan Leaf, will primarily target the European market, with production expected to begin in 2024, according to local media.
