BYD's premium new energy vehicle (NEV) brand Denza has seen the first production vehicles of the N7 SUV roll off the assembly line, Zhao Changjiang, general manager of the brand's sales division, said on Weibo today.

Zhao did not provide any more information, though shared two images of Denza celebrating the moment.

On June 13, Zhao said the Denza N7 had received more than 20,000 pre-orders before specifications and pricing were announced.

On March 26, he said there were many customers who wanted to get the Denza N7 released and on the market as soon as possible, and that the model was expected to receive 30,000 orders before its mid-year launch, according to the volume of inquiries.

Denza is a joint venture formed in February 2011 by BYD and Daimler, with each holding a 50 percent stake at the time. In February 2022, the Daimler brand was rebranded as Mercedes-Benz. BYD's shareholding in Denza increased to 90 percent last year.

In August 2022, Denza let the D9 MPV go on sale, the brand's first model after the reorganization. The Denza N7 is the second model after Denza's sharing-holding change and its first SUV.

On the first day of the Shanghai auto show on April 18, Denza opened reservations for the N7, but its pricing information was not released.

On December 20 last year, Zhao said on Weibo that the Denza N7 aims to capture the market for conventional internal combustion engine cars priced at around 400,000 yuan ($55,750).

On April 25, Denza said the N7 had received 10,569 pre-orders, just seven days after reservations opened.

On May 30, Zhao said at Denza's first brand day event that the Denza N7 would go on sale in late June, with deliveries to begin in July.

The Denza N7 is a 5-seat mid-size SUV with a length, width and height of 4,860 mm, 1,935 mm and 1,602 mm, respectively, and a wheelbase of 2,940 mm, a previous regulatory filing shows.

Denza's only model currently in delivery, the Denza D9, began deliveries at the end of October last year and sold 11,005 units in May this year, the third consecutive month in which it has exceeded 10,000 units.

Pre-orders for the Denza N7 have already exceeded 20,000 units before specifications and pricing are announced, Zhao Changjiang, general manager of Denza's sales division, said at an event yesterday.

Fifty-five percent of these pre-order holders are vehicle owners of luxury brands including Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi, and 35 percent are existing owners of BYD and Denza, Zhao said, according to a report by local auto media Yiche yesterday.

On March 26, Zhao said there were many customers who want to get the Denza N7 launched as soon as possible, and the model is expected to get 30,000 orders before its mid-year launch based on inquiry volume data.

Denza is a joint venture between BYD and Daimler established in February 2011, with each holding a 50 percent stake at the time, and the Daimler brand was rebranded as Mercedes-Benz in February 2022. In August 2022, Denza let the D9 MPV go on sale, the brand's first model after the reorganization. The Denza N7 is the second model after Denza's shareholding reform and its first SUV.

On April 25, Denza said the N7 received 10,569 pre-orders, just seven days before reservations opened.

On May 30, Zhao said at Denza's first brand day event that the Denza N7 would go on sale in late June, with deliveries starting in July.

Denza, the premium new energy vehicle (NEV) brand of BYD (OTCMKTS: BYDDY), has announced the launch schedule for the upcoming Denza N7, after pre-sales of the new SUV began last month.

The Denza N7 will be officially launched in late June, with deliveries starting in July, Zhao Changjiang, general manager of Denza's sales division, said yesterday at the company's first brand day after it was effectively controlled by BYD.

Denza is a joint venture established by BYD and Daimler in February 2011, with each holding a 50 percent stake at the time. In February 2022, the Daimler brand was rebranded as Mercedes-Benz.

BYD's stake in Denza increased to 90 percent last year, and Mercedes-Benz's stake decreased to 10 percent.

The Denza N7 has its own operating system and is compatible with different systems, 's HarmonyOS being one of them.

Denza D9 consumers are in their 30s and 40s, and 30 percent of them ordered the Denza N7, Zhao said.

Data from more than 10,000 orders show that Denza N7 consumers are over 23 years old, younger than those for the D9, he said.

Denza opened reservations for the N7 on the first day of the Shanghai auto show on April 18, but its pricing information was not released.

Zhao said on Weibo last December 20 that the SUV aims to capture the market for traditional internal combustion engine cars priced around 400,000 yuan ($56,300).

On April 25, Denza said the N7 received 10,569 pre-orders, just seven days after pre-sales bean.

's premium new energy vehicle (NEV) brand Denza began intensive warm-up for the Denza N7 SUV earlier this month, and now an executive has expressed optimism for the model's future sales performance.

Denza N7 has inspired much enthusiasm, and with the announcement of Denza's partnership with French high-end audio brand Devialet on March 22, there were many customers inquiring every day, Zhao Changjiang, general manager of Denza's sales division, said on Weibo yesterday.

Many people want to get the Denza N7 launched as soon as possible, and according to the inquiry volume data, the model is expected to get 30,000 orders before its launch in the middle of the year, Zhao said.

Zhao said in February that the Denza N7 would be released in the first half of this year.

On March 6, Denza unveiled official exterior images of the Denza N7 on Weibo, showing that the model restores much of the design of the brand's concept car INCEPTION, which was unveiled at the Chengdu auto show on August 26, 2022.

On March 9, the Denza N7 appeared in a regulatory filing list, and its key specifications were revealed.

The Denza N7 has a length, width and height of 4,860 mm, 1,935 mm and 1,602 mm respectively, and a wheelbase of 2,940 mm, according to the filing.

The model will be available in a single-motor version as well as a dual-motor version, with the former having a peak motor power of 230 kW and the latter having an additional motor with a peak power of 160 kW.

On December 20 last year, Zhao shared six spy photos of the SUV on Weibo, showing what the model might look like.

In the comments section of that Weibo, Zhao said the SUV aims to capture the market for traditional internal combustion engine cars priced around 400,000 yuan ($58,140).

In addition to mentioning his expectation of orders for the Denza N7 before its launch, Zhao also mentioned on Weibo yesterday that Denza will announce the look of another SUV, the N8, in the near future.

The Denza D9 has already been shown at the Thailand motor show and the MPV will be sold next in other regions including Hong Kong, Macau, and Europe for RMB 600,000-1 million, he said.
